Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) and Agency supplements thereto, the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on an unrestricted basis for construction of a metal roofing structure on the Government boat dock at Gulf Islands National Seashore (Davis Bayou) located at 3500 Park Road in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 238160. The Small Business size standard is $13.0 million. Price range is between 25,000 and 100,000 dollars. Pursuant to 40 U.S.C. 3132, payment protection (either Payment Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit) shall be required. This acquisition is covered under the Davis-Bacon and related Acts, and wage determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor apply. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to construct a tongue and groove v-joint deck with metal roof system over rafter ridges in the accordance with the Scope of Work. All interested parties desiring to conduct business with the Department of the Interior are encouraged to register at the National Business Center's website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov and the Central Contractor's Registry website: http:www.bpn.gov. RFQ documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF formats on or about January 6, 2006, with a closing date 30 days thereafter. HARD COPIES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued, with an performanced period of Sixty (60) calendar days from the Notice To Proceed. Anticipated award date is February 15, 2006. NO TELEPHONE OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time. This serves as a Pre-Solicitation Notice.
