Description
Hazardous Material disposal, spill response, and site cleanup. The USDA Forest Service, Region 5 (California) intends to solicit firms having the ability and skills to adequately: i) perform characterization and disposal of various hazardous materials accumulated on National Forest Lands, ii) conduct emergency spill response activities for hazardous materials spill on National Forest Lands, and iii) site restoration and cleanup. Work will be at various locations throughout the State of California. In order to qualify for award the contractor is required to maintain an office within the State of California or Reno, Nevada. Firms may partner or joint venture to meet this requirement. Firms may bid on one or any combination of the three (3) work activities listed above. The Government anticipates award to approximately three firms per work activity. The performance period will be for a basic period of one year with two, one-year renewal options. After award, the three selected firms will compete for individual work assignments, which may range from $2,000 to $100,000 each, with a majority of the assignments costing less than $40,000. Selection of a firm and subsequent award will be based on best over-all value to the Government, price and technical factors considered. Therefore, in order to be considered, the contractor must respond to the evaluation criteria identified in the statement of work. This is a preliminary notice, not an invitation for proposal. In order to view the entire solicitation and submit a proposal, interested firms must locate and refer to Solicitation No. R5-05-20-046 within www.FedBizOpps.gov. The actual solicitation will be available on www.FedBizOpps.gov for your view by September 15, 2005. Review and respond to this solicitation in FedBizOpps.gov. The closing date for receipt of a proposal is no later than 3:00 pm, October 27, 2005. Please submit a written proposal; no FAX or electronic submittals are permitted. Submit your proposal to: Forest Service, Attn. Don Bandur, 1323 Club Drive, Vallejo, CA. 94592. On your envelope, state Solicitation No. R5-05-20-046. This solicitation is open to both small and large business concerns. Award is contingent upon funding. The Forest Service is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
