Description
The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau, Alaska is conducting a market survey to determine if commercial sources are available and capable to furnish, assemble, install a small arsenic water treatment system The arsenic treatment system must meet the State of Alaska and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) potable drinking water requirements including the new maximum containment level (MCL) for arsenic of 0.010 ppb. The water treatment plant maximum capacity shall be 20 GPM. The new system installed in an existing building will supplement an existing water treatment system. The project site is U.S. Coast Guard Loran Station Attu, Alaska.. The U.S. Coast Guard would provide limited transportation for material, equipment, and personnel from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Alaska to Loran Station Attu and return. The required completion date for this project would be on or before August, 2006. Specific Survey Information Desired: a) Name and addresses (including phone numbers and Point of Contacts (POC s) of firms interested in and capable of providing these requirements; b) Catalog and other company literature; c) Any contractor restrictions in meeting the requirement. For example indicate if your operations are limited to certain geographical areas; c) Indicate if your firm is a Small or Large Business, HUBZone and/or 8(a). All responses should be submitted by January 13, 2006 to the Contracting Officer, USCG CEU Juneau, P.O. Box 21747, Juneau, AK 99802-1747. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the sole purpose of obtaining information from prospective offerors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be issued at this time.
