Description
The Coast Guard has a requirement for an emergency drydock. The barge for the USCGC ANVIL (WLIC 75301), a 68 foot barge is in need of emergency repair. All work will be performed at the contractor’s facility. The performance period is for 7 days, commencing December 3, 2005 and ending December 10, 2005. The work items are: welding repairs, inspect and renew hull plating in DC repair locker, routine drydocking, provide temporary logistics and protect hydraulic ATON Crane. The procurement is geographically restricted to 250 nautical miles from their Charleston, SC homeport. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the RFQ, will be most advantageous to the government, price and past performance considered. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The specification is provided as an attachment and quotes are due by close of business, Tuesday November 22, 2005.
