TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS PR&C 53405004 FISH BARGE SEA CHEST PIPING 1.0 INTENT The following specifications pertain to the purchase of piping supplies for use on the fish transport barges at Lower Granite Lock and Dam. 2.0 SCOPE The successful bidder shall be required to source and deliver the piping supplies to Lower Granite Dam by the date shown in Section 7.0 Submittals. Government personnel will perform the installation. 3.0 DUAL PLATE WAFER CHECK VALVE The Dual Plate Wafer Check Valve shall fit a 14, schedule 40 carbon steel pipe and be installed between two existing ANSI B16.5 Class 150 carbon steel flanges. The check valve shall be a double door style check valve. The valve shall be made of cast iro n (class 125) and have aluminum bronze plates and Buna-N seat. The valve shall be able to support a lifetime lifespan at 8000 GPM when used with typical river water. Or approved equal products will be considered and must be submitted and reviewed accordi ng to section 7.0 Submittals. 4.0 BOLTS, NUTS AND WASHERS Flange bolts for the valves will be supplied by the contractor. Eighty bolts, nuts, flat washers, and lock washers shall be supplied. The bolts shall be 1 diameter. The bolts shall be coarse threaded. The bolts shall be long enough to contain the valve, e xisting class 150 flanges, washers and hex nuts. All thread studs with lock washers and nuts on each end shall also be accepted. 5.0 DRESSER STYLE COUPLING The Dresser Style Coupling shall fit a 16, schedule 40 steel pipe, have a sleeve body large enough to couple a gap of 5.5 (have a sleeve body length 12), and withstand a pressure of 150 psi. The coupling shall be made of carbon steel material. Or appr oved equal products will be considered and must be submitted and reviewed according to section 7.0 Submittals. 6.0 WARRANTY Each system s hall be covered by a minimum one-year warranty on all parts and workmanship from factory defects. 7.0 SUBMITTALS Before acceptance of Or Approved Equal bids, submittals must be approved by Mr. Rob Lustig (509-843-1493 x258), Lower Granite Dam, 885 Almota Ferry Road, Pomeroy, WA 99347. Submittals include specification sheets and warranty. 8.0 SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY All items shall be delivered FOB to Lower Granite within 3 weeks of contract award. The contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to Lower Granite Dam. No shipments are allowed other then normal business hours of Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5PM, excluding holidays. All shipments shall be delivered to: Lower Granite Dam Attn: Rob Lustig 885 Almota Ferry Road Pomeroy, Wa 99347 Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR and DFARS clauses and provisions shall apply to this acquisition: 52.252-2, 52.211-6, 52.2 04-7, 52.232-33, 252.225-7000, 252.204-7004 Alternate A, 252.243-7001, 52.204-3, 52.219-1, 213-4. The Far Clause 52.214-21 Descriptive Literature shall apply to this acquisition: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.219-6. The DFARS clause 252.212 -7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions, of Commercial Items (JAN 2005) paragraph (b), shall apply to this acquisition: 252.225-7001, 252.232-7003.
