Description
This is a synopsis with a separately issued solicitation. The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Urologic Oncology Branch (UOB) is soliciting for the services of a Physician Assistant to assist the clinical evaluations, procedures, and patient management for clinical research protocols of the Urologic Oncology Branch, NCI. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12, Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.5 to use simplified procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621399 and the business size standard is $6.5M. Period of Performance: Base Year with three (3) twelve (12) month option periods. Scope: The scope of the work is to assess and manage inpatients and outpatients of the Urologic Oncology Branch. In general, the work includes medical histories, physical examinations, medical chart entries, obtaining informed consent, medical records, orders for drugs and tests, retrievals from the medical information system, and clinical data recording and entry. The work also includes specialized Urologic procedures and drug administrations, as called for under Branch protocols. The clinical contacts are incidental to current and planned clinical research protocols of the Urologic Oncology Branch. This is a non-personal health care services contract, under which the contractor is an independent contractor. Contractor Requirements: Contractor must possess a valid, current physician?s assistant license to practice in at least one state or territory in the United States or in the District of Columbia. All licenses shall be unencumbered and remain in effect during contract employment. The contractor shall possess knowledge of urology system functions. Contractor shall have one (1) year of experience within the last six (6) months in Oncology Medicine being a Physicians Assistant. Solicitation: The Request for Quotation must be requested by electronic mail or by fax. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Request for the RFQ shall be made to the attention of Malinda Holdcraft, Contract Specialist via electronic mail at holdcram@exchange.nih.gov or fax 301-402-4513. Requests shall include name of the contractor and complete mailing address, DUNS number, telephone and fax numbers, point of contact, business size standard, and identify the RFQ requested as RFQ-NCI-60026-NG on all correspondence. The deadline of this synopsis is January 23, 2006 at 1 PM EST. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is January 25, 2006 and the estimated due date of the solicitation is February 10, 2006.
