- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation?s (PBGC) Benefits Administration & Payment Department seeks a highly qualified Contractor with defined benefit pension plan auditing expertise to perform auditing services for trusteed plans and non-trusteed standard terminations. PBGC intends to award a competitive labor hour type contract with a level of effort of up to 230,000 hours per year for auditing services. The types of audits to be conducted include: (1) Plan Asset Audits, (2) Pension Plan Audits (3) Source Document Audits, (4) Participant Data Audits, and (5) Standard Termination Audits. For example, Plan Asset Audits will be conducted to value assets such as marketable securities, real propoerty insurance contracts, unpaid employer contributions and others for which there is no ready market. Other audits such as Participant Data Audits will be conducted to verify and/or reconstruct the individual participant data need to calculate plan and PBGC guaranteed benefits. Audits to be conducted under this contract will be performed pursuant to existing PBGC regulations, plan documents, and any limitations in Title IV or ERISA. Information regarding PBGC?s mission and its programs can be located at its web site: www.pbgc.gov. It is anticipated that the period of performance for the base year will be from April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007 with four (4) one-year options for renewal. The solicitation document will be distributed through the FedBizOps Government website. The site contains downloading instructions. All information concerning this acquisiton, including solicitation amendments , will also be available though the FedBizOps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure they have most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of this solicitation and any amendments will not be made available. The solicitation is not currently available, but estimated to be available on or about February 1, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration by the PBGC.
