Description

On behalf of the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment and in accordance with FAR 6.3, the Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to execute a commercial contract under other than full and open competition  on a sole source bas is to Public Affairs International (PAI), Inc., a small business. The Government requires an event planner that will manage the conference, serve as a liaison between State dignitaries and DoD, and provide pre-planning and execution of this highly visible and politically charged conference. The BRAC 05 Conference will have approximately 750 attendees and will cover three days in May 2006. The Government intends to continue the PAIs ongoing effort from a previously canceled conference date. This notice is valid until 23 January 2006 and is NOT a request for proposals. The Government does not intend to submit a solicitation for proposals. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information provided. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award is anticipated on or about 31 January 2006. Interested firms may submit capability statements or Patricia.Denard@hqda.army.mil. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
