- The Social Security Administration's Office of Acquisition and Grants is interested in the use of Reverse Auctioning Services to secure better prices on the acquisition of goods and services. This is a request for information from firms that provide reverse auctioning services to Federal Government entities. We are particularly interested in hearing from firms that provide these services at no direct charge to the Government. Note that this is not a solicitation or request for proposals/quotes. SSA is merely conducting market research to learn more about the reverse auctioning tools available to the Government. Capability statements may be submitted to Eileen Keating Carnaggio at eileen.carnaggio@ssa.gov. Capability statements should include details on all aspects of the reverse auctioning services provided by your firm including the capability to comply with all Federal Acquisition Regulations. Information regarding current Federal Government clients should be included. If your firm normally charges the Government directly for reverse auctioning services, include any typical or published pricing/fees required to obtain the reverse auctioning services. Also include information regarding your business size status. Firms are encouraged to submit capability statements by January 31, 2006. Phone calls will not be accepted. This Request for Information does not commit the Government to pay any cost related to preparation or submission of a response.
