This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of a market survey being conducted by the US Air Force to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement to evaluate, repair, and align two Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) long range radars (AN/FPS-117(V)3). The RSAF will select the two radars prior to work carried out within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Obsolete equipment will not be replaced under this maintenance assistance task. All existing RSAF radar Lowest Replaceable Units (LRUs) will be repaired and/or replaced, if RSAF spares are available. All activities under this task will comply with RSAF manuals 4-6181, 4-6182 and 4-6183 and the contractor must have had maintenance experience with the FPS-117(V)3, at their deployed locations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contractor will evaluate, repair, test, and align both radars. Both radars? final condition will be left in a full operational status. The contractor will provide all the necessary tools, spare parts, and test equipment to allow the RSAF to run full operation and maintenance of these two radars, including radar characteristics monitoring. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis.
