- The government wishes to purchase 2ea Automatic Tire Chain Systems suitable for emergency response vehicles weighing approximately 20,000 lbs each. The vehicles are Ford 550 type vehicles. The Automatic Tire Chain Systems will also require the purcha se of the necessary air compressor systems. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation services as the Request for Quotation. Provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to OfferorsCommercial Items and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items ap ply to this acquisition. Best Value to the Government will be used to evaluate offers. This includes, but is not limited to, the best price when considering the merits of all offers. Offers need to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Of feror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items with their offer. Offers must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration and should include their DUNS number, Cage Code and Federal Tax ID number. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Term s and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offers are due by 0900 on Thursday, 26 Jan 05.
