Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) and the U.S. Army Medical Information Technology Center (USAMITC) intend to award to Tidal Software of Houston, Texas a contract for one year for the software Horizon 1.6. Tidal Software is the designated source and sole possessor of the proprietary software and the sole source to sell the software cited herein. Horizon has worked with Microsoft and SAP to ensure its inclusion of critical components needed to monitor SAP systems running o n Microsoft operating systems. This software sits on a MOM server and supports TEWLS enterprise monitoring. MOM is also used within the AMEDD Enterprise to monitor the Active Directory and Exchange servers. The replacement of the TAMMIS system with TEWL S reduces the Armys risk of liability in supporting old and outdated logistic systems. The new system will ensure the Armys ability to provide the best possible logistical system for all medical hospitals. Market research has determined that Tidal Soft ware (Horizon 1.6) is the only and the leading solution used with MOM in monitoring SAP applications. The standards and capabilities set using this combination of MOM and Tidal Software (Horizon 1.6) are required for the TEWLS to sustain a high level of a vailability. With the support these systems provide in the war on global terrorism, market leading products are needed to help the current U.S. Army operation in Afghanistan and Iraq. If other vendors can provide these services, please respond as soon as possible. Telephonic requests for information regarding this procurement will not be honored. Please respond with questions, etc., to Ms. Peggi Lesnow, Purchasing Agent, peggi.lesnow@det.amedd.army.mil
