- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a modification on a sole-source basis to Giant Bird Bio-Inform Tech (Dr. Peng Zhang), Rockville, MD, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, for the continuation of the project entitled Targeted Therapeutic Peptide Delivery to Synaptic Junctions As Botulism Countermeasure: Mastoparan and RhoB and the execution of a project entitled Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) Countermeasures Molecular Toxicology and Prevention of Injury d ue to CWAs. . To switch to another vendor at this point in the projects would result in the duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Additionally, there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling th e Walter Reed Army Institute of Researchs requirements. USAMRAA intends to award this modification under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A firm-fixed-price-type modification is planned. The period of performance will be 12 months..
