Description

The Contracting Office at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola,FL, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price BPA type contract. The period of performance is 1 April 2006 -30 September 2006. The contractor is to provide Five (5) Full-time and Two (2) Part-Time Registered Nurses with One (1) designated as the Lead RN. The Telehealth RN shall normally provide services for approximately 80 hours per two-week period. Services shall be required from 5-12 hours shifts to include an uncompensated .5 hour for lunch depending on shift length. Scheduling will be flexible to ensure that the staffing needs of the Nurse Call Center are met during hours of operation. Hours of operation are 0600 to 2000, Monday through Friday and 0700 to 1200 on Saturday and Sunday. At the mutual agreement of the Telehealth RN and the government, alternative schedules may be implemented, such as a compressed work schedule. In no case shall the contract worker be required to work more than 80 hours in a two week period. Specific hours an days shall be authorized the lead RN. Services shall not be required on Holidays. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the Telehealth RN and the Government. Breaks will consist of two fifteen minutes breaks per shift. The Telehealth RN shall arrive for each scheduled shift in a well-rested condition.
