Description

The work consists of clearing and grubbing, embankment and berm restoration and construction (placing compacted and uncompacted fill), concrete and grouted riprap slope paving, miscellaneous concrete repair, closure gate repair, fertilizing, seeding and mulching and other incidental work. Time allowed for completion of this project has been shortened and all necessary provisions (multiple crews, overtime, concurrent operations, etc.) should be made to accomplish this work within the available time per iod. The estimated value of this work is greater than $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will issue on 23 January 2006, and the Proposals will be due 27 January 2006 at 10:00 am, local time and place (New Orleans, LA). Plans and Specifications are available t o download from the WEB ONLY at http://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/EBS_Contracting/index.asp. There will be no paper copies or CDs available. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS A PLANHOLDER TO SHOW THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE PACKAGE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO NOTIFY INTERESTED PARTIES IN THE EVENT THAT AN AMENDMENT IS ISSUED.
