Email for Copy of Synopsis/Solicitation PDF Format: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION BUTTERFLY VALVES WITH ELECTRIC ACTUATORS LOWER MONUMENTAL LOCK AND DAM KAHLOTUS, WA PART 1 GENERAL 1.1 Scope: The Supplier shall provide and deliver three Wafer Style Butterfly Valves with Electric Actuators to the Lower Monumental Lock and Dam. The Butterfly Valves with Electric Actuators will be installed on Cooling Water Supply Piping for Units 1, 2 , and 3, Elevation 424, Powerhouse, and they will be used to automatically stop the generator cooling water flow when the generator is not in use, and to automatically open the generator cooling water flow when the generator is in use. The Butterfly Valve and the Electric Actuator shall be ordered together as a unit. All parts not specifically mentioned which are necessary, or which are regularly furnished in order to provide a complete functional unit, shall be furnished by the successful Bidder at the bid price, and shall conform in strength, quality of material, wor kmanship, and sound engineering standards. The Bidder shall bid the latest and most current model of this type of Butterfly Valve with Electric Actuator by the concern, which the Bidder represents, and the sensors shall be new and unused. 1.2 Product information has been gathered to best duplicate existing valves on units 4 thru 6. Any manufacture that has similar or equal product is welcome to bid. The Supplier shall be available during commissioning for the troubleshooting of these units. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION BUTTERFLY VALVES WITH ELECTRIC ACTUATORS MONUMENTAL LOCK AND DAM, KAHLOTUS, WA 3.2 The Project will perform the installation of the Butterfly Valves with Electric Actuators. PART 4 WARRANTY 4.1 A minimum one-year warranty on parts, labor, and workmanship from factory defects shall cover all Butterfly Valves and Electric Actuators. PART 5 OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUALS 5.1 One complete copy of the Operation and Maintenance Manual will be required for the Butterfly Valve and Electric Actuator. The Operation and Maintenance and Operation Manual shall include operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting sections. It shall also include diagrams listing all system components, part numbers, and a list of recommended spare parts. 5.2 Also included shall be the name, phone and fax numbers, and/or the e-mail address of the Supplier, Manufacturer, and a Distributor where spare parts can be purchased. 5.3 The following identification shall be inscribed on the covers: OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Lower Monumental Butterfly Valves with Electric Actuators Name of the Supplier Contract Number PART 6 SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY 6.1 All items shall be delivered FOB to Lower Monumental Lock and Dam within 6 weeks of contract award. The Supplier shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to Lower Monument al Lock and Dam. No shipments are allowed other than normal business hours of Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM 5:00 PM, excluding holidays.
