Description

NON-PERSONAL SERVICE: Lajes Field is seeking a contractor capable of providing various laundry, dry cleaning and alteration services to Appropriated-Funded (APF) organizations. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor and services necessary to operate a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) laundry facility and equipment located at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Such services are in support of, but not limited to, 65th Medical Group, Fitness Center, Collocated Club, DECA Commissary, 65th Services Squadron Lodging Office, etc. This contract shall consist of a Base Year (April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007) and four one-year option periods through March 31, 2011. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about January 15, 2006. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. The North American Industry Classification System code is 812320. The Request for Proposal will be available by electronic transmission ONLY. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for award and must provide necessary Representations and Certifications and additional requested information with proposals. The successful offeror agrees to perform PERSONAL LAUNDRY SERVICES to include alternations, dry cleaning, laundering and pressing of military uniforms, civilian clothing, etc., in support of military personnel, dependents and civilians. These services shall be included in a separate agreement included as part of this contract. NOTE: A PERCENTAGE OF 8.5% IN GENERATED REVENUE OF GROSS SALES VIA PERSONAL LAUNDRY SERVICES SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE 65TH COMPTROLLER SQUADRON. THE CONTRACTOR WILL RETAIN THE REMAINING 91.5% IN REVENUE. All Government Furnished Property (GFP) will be listed in the forthcoming solicitation.
