Description

The U.S. Small Business Administration(SBA)has a requirement for additional loss verification services as a direct result of Hurricanes Katina and Rita. The SBA plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) which will seek contractors to perform losss verification services on personal homes and business properties damaged by these hurricanes in making an assessment of the cost for repairing them. The disaster areas includes parts of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. These assessments will be submitted to SBA and used to determine the amount of money the SBA may loan to a disaster victim. The SBA plans to issue a short-term firm fixed price commercial item contract with a period of performance from March 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006. The solicitation will be full and open competition. SBA reserves the right to make multiple contract awards. The solicitation will be available through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web-site:www.fbo.gov. The Fedbizopps web site provides downloading instructions. Future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps web site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
