- Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA is seeking to identify potential small businesses capable of providing protection/ camera systems. These systems will provide safe observations of targets at long range. This is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Marine Corps team, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. The Government is not responsible for the cost associated with any effort expended in responding to this notice. The NAICS code for the proposed procurement is 423410 and the FSC code is 6760. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES: 1) Protection System: a remote observation system with wireless operation capability to identify targets at long range. The system must have the capability to tilt & pan, zoom, focus, and switch from day to night operations from several kilometers away. The Protection System includes a remote observation post kit. This kit is an integrated lens and camera system that can be operated in either a manned or unmanned configuration. The kit can be placed close to the observation area, allowing for standoff at a safe distance. Specifications of this system include: manual operation, remote controlled operation, day & night operation; weatherproof, 12 VDC, and up to 3,000mm focal length. Components of the protection system include camera/ lens; tilt & pan; command and control unit (CCU) receiver; cable controller; wired controller; cable camera/ tilt & pan; tripod; antennas rubber duck; power cables; video cables; power block; carrying case; PTZ Amp; 10x 5590 battery box with 60-70 battery life; 6" LCD DVR; microwave set; transmitter; receiver; fiber optic XMTR/RCVR set; 500M fiber optic cable; and magic arm, clamp, 1/4-20. 2) Mount Camera System- a portable camera system that can be attached to military vehicles. This system provides situation awareness and provides a 360-degree viewing for monitoring highly dangerous zones. Components of this system include: black & white cameras; 1" tactical monitor, 5x5590 battery box; 5590 power adapter; 900MHz high power set; 900MHz Yagi Antenna; RG-58 Antenna cable set; 2.4GHz Microwave set; video cable set; magic arm, clamp, 1/4-20; spring clamp set; 10" monitor for mobile security receiver system; Quad 69, archos, and 2 pin ac power supply for mobile security receiver system. System can transmit information to remote/ main location. 3) Remote Audio Kit- Provides capability to have a wireless stay behind system for monitoring activity in a concealed location. Components of this kit include: Hi Power 300MW audio xmtr w/ 9v & 5590 adapter. STATEMENT OF CAPABILITIES (SOC) SUBMITAL REQUIREMENTS: The statement of capabilities will determine the feasibility and/ or basis for the Marine Corps to establish this requirement as a Small Business set-aside acquisition. Interested firms who qualify as a small business must submit a SOC, which describes, in detail, the firm's capability of providing these protection/ camera systems. The Government reserves the right to request additional information as needed from any and all respondents. The SOC must be complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firm's capabilities to provide the defined supplies.
