Description
This is an amendment to a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. ADMENDMENT 1 TO RFQ ? GED-RFQ-6017 - Questions submitted In reference to the list of items provided by the EPA: 12 AGA masks,12 Dry suits, 1 Superlite-27 In reference to the list of contractor provided materials: 12 AGA masks, 12 Dry suits, 1 Superlite-17 or equivalent, 2 surface supplied air systems -The contractor list is in addition to the EPA materials provided? Yes, the statement of work reflects 24 working diver candidates. -What specific AGA's are provided and what specific AGA's is the contractor expected to furnish? We supply Interspiro Diveator MK 11, The contractor should supply positive pressure AGA's suitable for scientific diving. -What type or types of dry suits does the EPA provide Size range? Trelleborg Viking and Avon, our sizes range from 1-5. -What type of dry suit is the contactor expected to provide? Size range? Suits which could be effectively used in conditions warranting drys suits including contaminated water. Size requirements are defined by the divers in the class. -The contractor provides 2 surface supplied air systems; one for EPA provided helmet and one for the contactor provided helmet? The systems should be set up to allow for two working divers to safely be in the water at the same time. -Two surface supplied helmets are available total in the training? Two divers are in the water at the same time leaving another diver on the surface properly dressed for standby of surface supplied divers. -Do all the divers receive open water training on the helmets or classroom and/or confined water training? The training is defined as introduction to surface supplied air which would require classroom training and the diving is done onsite at the EPA facility. -Is there a specific required nitrox manual or certifying agency for the nitrox certifications?
