Description

The Southwest Fisheries Science Center, La Jolla, CA, requires a research study on ?Foraging Behavior and Demography of Pygoscelis Penguins? and to provide datasets and logistical support as well as attending meetings. Specific tasks include directing the collection of penguin reproductive growth, abundance and distribution and survival data; analyze data collected at the copa field site in the 04/05 year and submit the data to the CCAMLR database in summary form; etc. The SWFSC, La Jolla, CA, intends to award this simplified acquisition as a sole source to Susan Trivelpiece. Ms. Trivelpiece has 24 years of experience in seabird research at this field site and has firsthand knowledge of the data both current and historical. She has been the Co-PI for this on going project for the past 24 years. Therefore, it is in NOAA?s opinion that Susan Trivelpiece is uniquely qualified and the only responsible source to conduct this research study. All responsible parties? bids will be accepted. This is a simplified acquisition, expected not to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. Period of performance 2/06-9/06.
