Description
It is the intent of the U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center (AHEC), located at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania to procure professional historical interpretive services. The AHEC is building a series of outdoor exhibits called the Army Heritage Trail (AHT). These exhibits represent different phases of US Army history as it relates to individual soldiers stories. AHEC requires the services of a contractor to perform quali ty educational interpretation on the trail using historically accurate interpreters in period costume. Contractor shall provide costumed interpreters for 13 historical time periods in US Army history associated with the AHT to include: The French and India n War, The American Revolution, The Mexican War, The American Civil War, The Indian Wars, The Spanish American War, 1910-1915 Inter Wars period, World War One, World War Two, Korean Conflict, Vietnam Conflict, Panama, and Operation Desert Storm. Contracto r will be required to provide all uniforms, associated personal equipage, appropriate weapons, tools, and other associated equipage for each historic interpreter provided. All uniforms and equipage must be historically accurate in representation of the hi storical time period. The contractor will be required to perform the following tasks in performance of the contract: Task 1) Develop thirteen (13) scripts in conjunction with AHEC staff. Each script will relate to the historical time period characteriza tions represented and will be historically accurate to that time period. Task 2) Provide two costumed historic interpreters from varying historical periods in US Army history for up to 75 days (mainly Fridays & Saturdays, and some weekdays) of interpretati on on the AHT. Task 3) Provide up to four costumed historic interpreters to conduct up to 15 on-call educational tours for groups on the AHT (weekdays and weekends). Task 4) Provide 10 uniformed historic interpreters for up to three annual events at AHT ( weekdays and weekends). Task 5) Provide up to 100 uniformed historic reenactors for three annual events at AHT (spring, summer and fall). The contractor must demonstrate the required training, experience, and resources necessary to complete services. T he period of performance is anticipated for a base period of twelve months, with two option years. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. Offerors must be CCR registered to be eligible for contra ct award. This acquisition will be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. THE NAICS code for this procurement is 712120. The size standard is $6 Million. The RFQ/ solicitation will be available on or about 14 February 2006.
