Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-06-Q-1751. NUWCDIVNPT has a requirement for seventeen (17) Supermicro SuperServer 6104H-82B and three (3) Supermicro SuperServer 6034H-X8R. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334112; size standard is 1000 employees. This procurement will be solicited as a sole make and model for the servers, which are manufactured by Supermicro Computer, Inc. This action is being processed as a sole make and model to ensure compatibility and interchangeability of existing SuperServer systems. THE SERVERS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS. For the seventeen Supermicro SuperServer?s model 6104H-82B all of the following specifications must be fully integrated into the servers. The specifications are as follows: Motherboard- SuperMicro X6DHR-8G2; Processor- 2 Xeon 64 bit dual-core Processors @ 3.6 GHz; Memory- 8 GB - DDR2 400 SDRAM; Hard Drive- 73GB, 15K RPM, 3.5 ms access time, Ultra320 SCA 8M; Optical Drive- DVD RW/CD Combo (Slim) (Must be SCSI); Power Supply- 500W Cold Swap; Storage Bays (Must be SCSI)- Hot-swap Ultra 320 (Must be SCSI). For the three Supermicro SuperServer?s 6034H-X8R all of the following specifications must be fully integrated into the servers. The specifications are as follows: Motherboard- SuperMicro X6DH8-XG2; Processor- 2 Xeon 64 bit dual-core Processors @ 3.6 GHz; Memory- 8 GB - DDR2 400 SDRAM; Hard Drive- 73GB, 15K RPM, 3.5 ms access time, Ultra320 SCA 8M; Optical Drive- DVD RW/CD Combo (Slim)(Must be SCSI); Power Supply- Triple Redundant 760W; Storage Bays (Must be SCSI)- 8x1" hot-swap Ultra 320 (Must be SCSI). ANY OFFEROR THAT PROPOSES SERVERS THAT ARE NOT FULLY INTEGRATED WITH THE ABOVE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE FOUND TO BE UNACCEPTABLE. Selection will be based on the following evaluation factors: technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important. Required delivery is four weeks after date of award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. All proposals from responsible sources will be considered however, no substitute components will be evaluated or accepted. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: none. Offers should include price and delivery terms and the following additional information: none required.
