Presolicitation Notice Issue Date: February 9, 2006 Due: March 15, 2006 FSC CODE: 89 ? Bread and Bakery Products SOL: 673-66-06 DESCRIPTION The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, Florida is soliciting for firm-fixed price quotations to provide Bread & Bakery Products to the Nutrition and Food Service and the Veterans Canteen Service on an as needed basis to the VISN 8 Medical Facilities located in the State of Florida in: Tampa, Bay Pines, Gainesville, Lake City, West Palm Beach and Miami. Contract period of performance is April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007. All qualified offerors/firms who believe they can satisfy the solicitation requirements are invited and encouraged to provide their quote. Offerors shall be evaluated on price, past performance and socioeconomic criteria. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards by medical centers to the offeror(s) representing the best value to the Government. The small business size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 311812 is 500 employees. When the solicitation is released, offerors are reminded to complete all sections of the solicitation, including the Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
