- Description
- NON-PERSONAL SERVICE: Lajes Field is seeking a contractor capable of providing various laundry, dry cleaning and alteration services to military personnel, dependents and civilians. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor and services necessary to operate a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) laundry facility and equipment located at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Such services are in support of, but not limited to, Medical Group, Fitness Center, Collocated Club, DECA Commissary, Services Squadron Lodging, etc. ****This contract shall consist of a Base Year (April 1, 2006 through 30 September 2006) and four one-year option periods. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about 14 February 2006.**** This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. The North American Industry Classification System code is 812320. The Request for Proposal will be available by electronic transmission ONLY. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for award and must provide Representations and Certifications, or submit necessary information with proposals. The successful offeror agrees to perform PERSONAL LAUNDRY SERVICES to include dry cleaning, pressing and alterations for military uniforms and civilian clothing. These services shall be included in a concessionaire agreement. All Government Furnished Property (GFP) will be listed in the forthcoming solicitation. NOTE: A PERCENTAGE OF 8.5% IN GENERATED REVENUE OF GROSS SALES VIA PERSONAL LAUNDRY SERVICES SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE 65TH COMPTROLLER SQUADRON. THE CONTRACTOR WILL RETAIN THE REMAINING 91.5% IN REVENUE.
