Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to BAE Systems National Security Solutions Inc., Reston, VA 20190-5234. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquis ition Procedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the renewal of software maintenance on BAEs Socet Set software. BAE is the sole owner of the Socet Set softw are, a proprietary mapping software, and no other company has the capability to support this software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to per form the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 15:30 (Central Time Zone) on 15 February 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not accep table in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Jack.L.Peterson@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
