- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a Request for Quotation for the lease of one (1) crawler mounted dragline/excavator, with operator, for 60 work days and one (1) D-4 type dozer or equivalent, with operator, for 5 work days for the construction of dikes at Cape May Disposal Area D , New Jersey. Work is to commence on or about 20 March 2006. The acquisition will be a best-value procurement using the lowest price technically acceptable source selection proce ss and the procurement process prescribed in FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Best value is expected to result from selection of the technically acceptable offer with the lowest evaluated price. The evaluation factor that establishes the re quirements of acceptability is as follows: Contractor operator to demonstrate experience by providing evidence of 2 successfully built dikes. Quotes will be reviewed for completeness in satisfying the requirements of the RFQ. RFQ No. W912BU-06-T-0029 w ill be available on or about 15 February 2006. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested offerors must register with FedTeDS b efore accessing the system. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or Cage Code, Telephone Number, and E-mail Address. Registration Instructions can be found on the FedTeD S website by clicking on the Register With FedTeDS hyperlink. Interested offerors should select the Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process option. Offerors who have registered with FedTeDS must access the data for this solicitation by way of the hy perlink established via the FedBizOpps announcement. Offerors cannot log into the FedTeDS home page and search for data directly. Offers will be due on 1 March 2006 at 2:30 p.m. ET and must be mailed to USACE, Philadelphia District. Offerors are respo nsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 238910 with a size standard of $13 million. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment oppor tunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Award will be made as a whole to one offeror. No other notification to firms for this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as re quired by DFARS 204.7300.
