Description
SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST Project Title: CONSTRUCTION - REHABILITATION OF THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY AIRPORT REMOTE TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER (RTR) SITE; WHITE PLAINS, NY Point of Contact: Glenn Fox McCarthy, (718) 553-3085 Date Closed: 15FEB06 ________________________________________________________________________ Project Description The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for the Rehabilitation of five (5) self-supporting steel towers serving the Westchester County Airport Remote Transmitter and Receiver (RTR) Site in White Plains, NY. Work consists of the replacement of the concrete foundation piers, the installation of ducts with cables from the Equipment Building to each tower and the installation of grounding/lightning protection for each tower. The estimated price range for construction is between $125,000.00 and $165,000.00. The contractor shall perform at least fifteen (15) percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Purpose The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to obtain five (5) interested offerors. All interested offerors must fax a letter of interest and their company's qualifications to Glenn Fox McCarthy at 718-995-5685, NLT 4:00 PM EST, 15FEB06. The letter and qualifications must include information on at least five (5) completed projects within the last three (3) years, similar in size, scope, and complexity, and list the project owners' names and phone numbers. The first five (5) offerors responding to this announcement, and who are deemed to be capable of satisfactorily performing this type of work will be sent the Request For Offers. The letter and qualifications shall demonstrate in a clear and concise manner all the specialized technical experience necessary to evaluate the offeror's understanding of, and capacity to accomplish, the required project. The information shall be so clear and unambiguous as to negate the need for further explanation. Offerors' who fail to meet the requirements of this announcement shall be down selected. All offerors who are deemed to be capable of successfully performing the work will then move on to the next level, and will be sent the Request For Offers, and the offeror providing the lowest price will be awarded the contract.
