Description
The National Institutes of Health intends to procure on a firm, fixed price, sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 as authorized by 41 U.S.C. 253-C (1), The below services from Dr. Chia-Wen Ko. Dr. Ko is a well-qualified practicing biostatistician with outstanding knowledge of sttistical programming techniques and software packages. 1. The Period of performance shall be one year from the date of award. 2. The Contractor shall have expertise in statistical analysis. 3. The Contractor shall be a Ph.D. biostatistician. 4. The Contractor shall have at least 3 years experience and outstanding knowledge of statistical programming techniques and software packages. 5. The Contractor shall have at least 3 years experience and a knowledge and understanding of the content and value of the datasets for which NIDCD and the National Institute on Child Health and Development (NICHD) need further analyses. These datasets include: the Missouri Follow-up Study of Very Low Birth Weight Children for Hearing, Speech-Language, and Cognitive Impairment at 10 Years of Age, the Hearing and Balance/Vestibular Exams from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, 1999?2004) and the Reykjavik Iceland AGES Study, the National Infant Sleep Position Study (NISP), the Aberdeen Area Infant Mortality Study (AAIMS), the California SIDS Study, the NICHD SIDS Cooperative Study, and NCHS Birth Cohort Linked Birth/Death Data Sets. 6. The Contractor shall provide statistical programming support for new statistical analyses of the specified datasets 7. The Contractor shall use SAS (the Statistical Analysis System, Cary, NC) as the primary statistical programming language but, when necessary, they shall use SPSS, S-Plus, STATA, and other advanced statistical programming languages. It is the Government?s belief that these requirements may only be met by Chia-Wen Ko. This is not a formal solicitation, however, concerns that respond to this notice must furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results.
