Description
The US Army ??? Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce in support of the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command ??? Armaments Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC), Weapon Systems and Technology Division is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for immediate procurement of flowformed nickel alloy 718 for mortar cannon systems. Under this program, ARDEC seeks to procure 81mm and 60mm mortar cannons for initial delivery starting in June06. The current plan is for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract beginning in FY06 for 81mm and 60mm cannons. All interested firms shall respond to the following areas in their capabilities submissions, at no cost to the Government: A) Technical capabilities (1-10 pages): Describe how the interested firm can provide flowformed 60mm and 81mm cannon systems, specifically citing: 1. Experience in flowforming Nickel Alloy 718 for mortar cannon application for any of the US Military Services. 2. Provide evidence that the flowformed Nickel Alloy 718 products have been safety qualified for US Military Application. 3. Demonstrate the ability to deliver flowformed cannons within 3 months of contract award (first article submission) with production beginning no later than 5 months after contract award at a minimum rate of 50 units per month. B) Manufacturing History for Weapon Systems: Submit a manufacturing history to demonstrate past performance, with emphasis on work performed for the U.S. Government. C) Acquisition Teaming: Information shall be provided describing experience in teaming with a customer, to include level of involvement with emphasis on participation in U.S. Government defense acquisition teams. D) If interested, all responses must include the following: 1. Company???s full legal name and ???doing business as??? name, if different 2. Company???s physical address 3. A company point of contact, phone number, fax number, email address 4. Company DUNS and CAGE codes 5. Company Size ALL contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration at http://www.ccr.gov. Responses to this survey shall be submitted within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice via electronic mail in a format compatible with Microsoft Windows?? and Microsoft Office?? to: lisa.formoso@us.army.mil.
