Description

THIS DATE QUOTES ARE TO BE RECEIVED HAS BEEN EXTENDED FROM NOON, FEBRUARY 21, 2006 TO NOON, FEBRUARY 22, 2006. THE AVAILABILITY IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT MARCH 8, 2006. The Coast Guard has a requirement for an EMERGENCY DOCKSIDE. The USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC-615) is a 210 Foot A Class Medium Endurance Cutter in need of emergency repair. All work will be performed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The performance period is for fourteen (14) days, commencing 22 February 2006 and ending 7 March 2006. The United States Coast Guard is aware that the proposed start date of 22 February 2006 may be difficult to meet. If contractor can not start on 22 February 2006 it is requested they submit the earliest date they can start. The work item is: (1) Renew Sewage Vent Line. This procurement is not geographically restricted. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. Funds are available for this procurement. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the RFQ; will be most advantageous to the Government, price and past performance considered. All responsible Small-Business sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The specification is provided as an attachment and the solicitation is planned to be posted by close of business 15 February 2006, with quotes due by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, 21 February 2006.
