IAW J023 STUFFER: SPACER ASSY, 2ND TO 4TH STG COMP ROTATING MEMBER OF ENGINE: NOTE: MFGR DIMENSIONS CRITICAL. SNAP DIAMETERS ARE CLOSE TOLERANCE TO MEET STRINGENT BALANCE AND FIT LIMITS. MATRL: AMS 4928 TITANIUM. NHA: COMPRESSOR ROTOR APPL TF33-P3/103 ENGINE, B-52 ACFT. DEST: TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032; QUANTITY: 7 MIN, 15 MED, 18 MAX. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Only government/commercial new & unused surplus material is acceptable. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a)(1) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate response date will be 7 APR 2006. The anticipated award date is 8 MAY 2006. This item is competitive. Data package will be provided and First Article requirements will apply. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
