Description

(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; pr oposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)The solicitation number is W911QX-06-T-0037. This acquisition is issued as an Request for Quote (iii)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-00001. (iv)This acquisition is set-aside for Small Businesses. The associated NAICS code is 333999. The small business size standard is 500. (iv)The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): CLIN 0001, QTY 1 EACH, ATTRITOR, CLIN 0002, QTY 1,000 LBS, 3/16 440C SS BALLS. (vi) Description of requirements: The above items are manufactured by Union Process, 1925 Akron-Peninsula Road, Akron, Ohio 44313 and are being solicited on a Brand Name or Equal basis. COMPLETELY WIRED. EXPLOSION-PROOF BASED ON CLASS I, DIV. 1, GROUP D: CLASS II, DIV. 1, GROUP F/G; GEAR REDUCER: CONE DRIVE; STARTER: IEC STARTER WITH PUSHBUTT ONS MOUNTED IN A NEMA 7/9 ENCLOSURE. COMPLETELY WIRED; HORSEPOWER METER (vii) Delivery shall be made to the Army Research Laboratory, Bldg 434, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005. Acceptance shall be performed at Army Research Laboratory. The FOB point is Origin. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The clause at 52.212-2 Evaluation of CommercialItems applies to this acquisition. The Government reserves the right to award on an all or none basis. . The technical evaluation will be a determination of the technical ability of the offer to meet t he salient characteristics described above and shall be based on information furnished by the vendor. The government is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the proposal. To ensure sufficient information is a vailable, vendors must furnish as part of their proposal all descriptive material (such as cuts, illustrations, drawings, or other information) necessary for the government to determine whether the product meets the salient characteristics of the requireme nt. The government will award a contract to the offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The government reserves the right to make an award without discussions. (x)Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this clause. NONE.
