- Contractual Questions: Rosetta Brightwell, 912-652-5903 Technical Questions: Catherine Applegate, 912-652-5755 & Diego Martinez, 912-652-5738 Description of work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with The McCarty Corporation, P.O. Box 203250, Austin Texas 78720, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only one responsible so urce and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as defined in FAR Part 6.302-1. The barracks and administrative buildings, site and utilities presently under construction will be supplemented with additional barracks buildings. T his solicitation is for the site preparation and construction of two additional four story barracks buildings. Building systems to be provided include fire alarm systems, automatic building sprinklers, intrusion detection systems, energy monitoring and co ntrol systems (EMCS), mass notification, and force protection systems. Supporting facilities include electric service, water, sewer, and gas service; paving, walks, curbs and gutters; storm drainage; erosion control measures; information systems; and site improvements to include picnic tables, benches, bike racks, fencing and gates, and landscaping. Physical security measures will be incorporated into the design, including maximum feasible standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. The total contract value is expected to be between $5M - $10M. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received wil l normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify the capability by responding to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received wi thin 15 days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be consider ed solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
