Description
This is a Sources Sought (SS) announcement only. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of the Targets Management Office (TMO) to conduct Market Research for subsonic, subscale Aerial Targets. This SS should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. The purpose of this notice is to schedule demonstrations of these Aerial Targets at Ft. Bliss, TX. The Aerial Targets must meet or exceed the following specifications: 1. Speed Range: 200 ktas minimum (cruise). 2. Endurance: 30 minutes @ 15,000 ft 300 ktas (straight & level). 3. Maximum Altitude: 16,000 - 20,000 ft. 4. Maneuverability: 3g for 180o heading change @ 16,000 ft. 5. Concurrent Flight: Written description of how 2 targets can be flown simultaneously for 30 minutes. 6. Locate & Control: ? 200 ft (x, y & z). 7. Launch Wind Conditions: 25 kts max cross wind & 20 kts tail winds during launch. 8. Consecutive Launches: Written description of vendor's capability to execute 3 launches with d 30 minutes between launches. 9. Flight Termination: Required (range safety will require a description of Flight Termination System before approving flight). 10. Augmentation: Written description of available augmentation. 11. Desired Cost: d $150,000 (including operations, launch & drone destruction). Responses to this SS should only include items that support all stated requirements in a current commercially available configuration, or a configuration that could be made fully compliant through minor modifications. Responses to this SS must include the product manufacturer, a product description with performance parameters, a statement regarding current availability, a statement describing any required modifications, and the estimated cost of the product including any required modifications. Respo nses to this SS should also include cost (if any) to the Government to perform demonstration of the product at Ft. Bliss, TX. This RFI does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals or Request for Quotes. Responses to this SS will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.202(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RF I.
