Description
The US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny is conducting a market survey for existing 155mm suite of non-developmental artillery projectiles for achieving range and lethality objectives in US 39 caliber systems. The projectile suite must have demonstrated interoperability and be compatible with 38 caliber self-propelled howitzers. Desired is a High Explosive (HE) capable of achieving a maximum assisted range of 40 km from a 38 caliber weapon system, with a Range Probable Error of 0.4% or less at 75% of maximum range without a course correction fuze. All respondents must provide documentation demonstrating past performance of all the projectiles suite in both 39 and 52 caliber cannons to the above specified ranges and Range Probable Error PER; as well as demonstrate their capability to provide system engineering, system integration, full-scale production, and their past performance in meeting contractual cost and schedule requirements. All respondents must also provide information on the advantages and disadvantages on the producibility and impact their ammunition suite would have on the US 155mm ammunition industrial base. Use of specialty metals, either as end products or components, shall be disclosed in accordance with DFARS 225.7002- 1. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. All information is to be submitted at a no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
