Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HubZone; 8(a); and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB) qualified to perform the proposed contract. The proposed contract will include both projects. The first proj ect is a C9 & C40 Squadron Operations Facility (2,622 SF). It includes the construction of a masonry facility constructed on steel reinforced slab and foundation. Facility to include a Command Post (418 SF) and shall comply with AMC and Scott AFB archit ectural design standards for permanent facilities. Includes all utilities, parking and support and will be designed and constructed according to current AT/FP standards. The second project is the C9 & C40 Part Storage Facility (2,230 SF). This project includes the construction of a pre-engineered facility with steel superstructure framing members, constructed on steel reinforced structural slab and foundation. Facility t o comply with AMC and Scott AFB architectural design standards for permanent facilities. Includes environmentally controlled spaces for select item storage. Includes all utilities, parking and support and will be designed and constructed according to cu rrent AT/FP standards. The project is planned for advertisement in August 2006 with approximate award schedule of September 2006. The contract duration is estimated at 540 days. NAICS is 236220. The estimated construction cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. 15% of the work is to be self performed. All interested small business-types identified above must respond to this notification in writing or fax by April 7, 2006; 4:00 p.m. Louisville Local Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the companys small business size (HUBZone; 8(a) or SDVOSB); (2) Past Experience which describes completed projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed project (Administrative Bldgs and Pre-Engineered Bldgs), the percentage of self perfo rmed work and how it was accomplished; (3) capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project within the cost range of this project and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform at least 15% of the work and how it will be accom plished. NOTE: If a sufficient number of qualified HUBZone; 8(a) or SDVOSB firms do not respond to this market survey by the date and time indicated above, the planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition and will be advertised a nd awarded as such.
