Description
In accordance with OMB Circular A-76, the United States Department of Labor (DOL), hereby publicly announces a Multiple-Agency-wide Standard Competition of the Program Support Services functional area, (a component of the Other Non-Manufacturing Operations Study mission area). This competition will involve the following DOL Agencies: Employment Standards Administration (ESA), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and the Woman?s Bureau (WB). Approximately 89 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions are currently included in the scope of the competition universe, that includes employees in Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and 21 other states (including VA, GA, MA, NY, NC, IL, OH, TX, MI, CT, HI, IN, MS, FL, MO, WI, TN, NE, PA, CA, and NJ.). Occupations to be included in this competition include FOIA Specialist, Program Specialist, Records Management Specialist, Program Planner, State Advisor, EEO Specialist, Program Information Specialist, Writer/Editor, Social Science Advisor, and Program & Management Analyst. The project end date is projected to be on or near March 29, 2007, with a solicitation specification anticipated to be released on or around November 1, 2006. This release date is not guaranteed and could be earlier or later, however, it will definitely be advertised/synopsized in the FedBizOps. The intent of the competition is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of performing the subject services. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The competition will determine whether these services should be performed under a contract with commercial sources or by the federal work force. A Government proposal to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541990 - All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. The Competitive Sourcing Official for this competition is: Mr. Patrick Pizzella; the Contracting Officer is: Mr. Keith Bond; the Agency Tender Official is: Mr. Walter Weatherington. This announcement is not a solicitation and proposals are not requested at this time. Firms interested should follow instructions that will be indicated in conjunction with the announcement in FedBizOps at that time. It is the sole responsibility of the interested firm to monitor the website for notification of any resulting and/or pending solicitation.
