- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane Division. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division Web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a commercial requirement for production of VERSA Module Eurocard (VME) PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) Circuit Card Assemblies. The quantity, part number, and description for this procurement are as follows: CLIN 0001 ? 220 Each P/N PMC661J ? Single 10/100 Base T PMC CLIN 0002 ? 160 Each P/N PMC663FX ? Dual 100 Base FX Controller CLIN 0003 ? 65 Each P/N PMC941FX ? Switch 100 Base FX The contract for this commercial procurement will be a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for current FY requirements. Solicitation N00164-06-R-8973 will be issued on a sole source basis to GE FANUC Embedded Systems, 12090 South Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35803. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, it has been determined Government?s requirement for these supplies can only be met by one manufacturer?s product. No other product is capable of satisfying agency requirements. GE FANUC is the manufacturer of this product and these items have been qualified/certified as part of a larger system. The solicitation will be available on or about 11 April 2006 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil.supply/announce.htm. Estimated closing date is on or about 25 April 2006. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation to be considered. Submitting a bid from the NECO web site by clicking on the ?Submit Bid? does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of offerors to download the RFP and to submit offers to the Point of Contact (POC) at NSWC Crane. The POC is Mr. Michael Allen, Code 0565ZJ at (812) 854-8714, e-mail Michael.T.Allen1@navy.mil . All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. FSC 5998 ? NAICS 334111. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within twenty-seven days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
