Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propo sal are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. We have a requirement for Battery Covers which must be made per DWG No 687-6555-001 and DWG No 685-7427-001 Rockwell International Corporation Collins Group. Drawings and specificatio ns are available on our web page http://www.wsmr.army.mil/docpage/pages/sol_stat.htm. This requirement is full and open competition. The NAICS code is 326199 and standard size is 500 employees. We prefer to make payment by VISA credit card. You must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov/ in order to receive the award if you are selected . The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-08 d ated 05 Jan 2006. From the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) the following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.209-4 and Alt I, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, (52.203-6 Alt I, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.2 22-36, 52.225-5, 52.232-33, 52.232-36), 52.216-18, 52.216-19, 52.216-22, 52.249-8. The fill-in version of provision FAR 52.212-2 and clauses FAR 52.209-4 and Alt I, 52.216- 8, 19 and 22 may be found at our webpage cited above. From Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), the following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: DFARS 252.225-7001, 252.225-7012, 252.243.7002). We anticipate awarding indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) with a minimum of 50 units and a maximum of 500 units over a period of five years. Award will be based on technically acceptable, low price using the criteria in FAR 52.212-2. A team of Government experts will conduct a site visit to contactor(s) facility(s) at which contractors will address the full criteria in FAR 52.212-2. Contractor(s) selected for aw ard will be awarded a contract for a minimum quantity of 50 units. The first unit must pass First Article Tests (FAT) before any authorization is provided by the Government to proceed on the following 49 units. If the First Article Test is not passed, th e contract will be Terminated for Default. FAR clause 52.209-4 First Article ApprovalGovernment Testing and its alternate I apply to this requirement. Contract will consist of three CLINS (see our website for CLIN structure). Proposals shall be FOB de stination. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination.
