Description

ACCESS DOOR, Bulkhead, Left Side, NSN: 5340-01-172-2967; PN: 12316950; Peripheral Shape Style: 7-Rectangular; Material: Aluminum Alloy 5083, and Rubber. Overall dimensions in inches are 10.86 length, 10.7 width. The item has hinges and other hardw are and rubber components/parts. Multiple holes are machined into the door. Along the length there are 3 holes, with a distance of 2.625 inches nominal between. Corner bevel length is 0.500 inches. Securing Devise Type: Threaded Fastener. Material Doc ument and Classification: MIL-46027 Mil Spec 1st Material Response, and ZZ-R-765, CL 38, GR30, Color Grey Fed Spec 2nd Material Response. Special markings and Military packaging are also required. This item is used on the 7.62 mm cupola of the Bradley Fi ghting Vehicle. The current requirement is for 100 units. The anticipate contract will be for a fixed unit price, delivery terms are FOB-Destination. One or two option quantities will be included, for up to 100% each of the initial contract quantity. A n additional requirement for the Right Side Access Door will be added to this Synopsis Notification by a pending modification. Thus, the resultant contract will be for two separate access doors, the left and the right, each with their own initial producti on quantity, and each with separate option quantities. The estimated Request For Proposal (RFP) issue date is 01 May 2006. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102. Therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any ame ndments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation, and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of bids/offers, may render your bid/offer as nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation is restricted as a total small business set-aside. Offers from concerns other than small businesses are not solicited.
