Description

This proposed procurement is unrestricted. Date of issue for specifications will be on or about 12 May 2006. Bid opening will be on or about 12 June 2006 at 2:00 PM CST. Magnitude is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Work includes Repair spalled areas on t he downstream lane only of the concrete bridge deck surface over the overflow section of the dam. This includes removing 1-1/4 inch of thickness of concrete from the bridge deck surface and overlaying the deck with latex modified concrete. Perform patch r epair on spalled and cracked areas of the downstream sidewalk over the overflow section of the dam. Care shall be taken not to disturb survey markers. Remove bridge deck expansion joint cover plates on the downstream lane only and place new seals in the e xpansion joints. Replace steel cover plates. Clean out and place new seals in all expansion joints in downstream sidewalk over the overflow section of the dam. Seal the repaired downstream sidewalk over the overflow section of the dam with concrete slab sealant. Options include remove bridge deck expansion joint cover plates on the upstream lane only and place new seals in the expansion joints. Replace steel cover plates. Clean out and place new seals in all expansion joints in upstream sidewalk over t he overflow section of the dam. Repair loose embedded angles at bridge expansion joints. Repair spalled areas on the upstream lane only of the concrete bridge deck surface over the overflow section of the dam. This includes removing 1-1/4 inch of thickn ess of concrete from the bridge deck surface and overlaying the deck with latex modified concrete. Perform patch repair on spalled and cracked areas of the upstream sidewalk over the overflow section of the dam. Care shall be taken not to disturb survey markers. Seal the repaired upstream sidewalk over the overflow section of the dam with concrete slab sealant. Blast and Prime all bridge bearing plates. This includes entire lengths and each end (upstream and downstream) of all exposed surfaces of all p lates. Bubbles highlight details necessary for work to be performed.
