Description

Lakehurst Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst New Jersey has a requirement for the following items in support of the KC-130J Aircraft Program: Coupling and Hose Assembly, Part Number 0043-0035-1, quantity-6 each. The Coupling and Hose Assembly consist of a 90 foot, three inch diameter hose with a special fitting that interfaces with the aircraft?s 3-inch high pressure ground connection, with a split-flapper nipple check valve assembly arrrangement. The items are due NLT 90 days after award of contract. Delivery FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ with packaging and packing in accordance with MIL-STD 2073, (Standard practice for military packaging). The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Rockwell Collins is currently the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the buddy start coupling and hose assembly, part number 0043-0035-1. They own the proprietary design rights to the system and all its components, and solely possess the technical data necessary to deliver the required Coupling and Hose Assemblies. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
