- Description
- This request for information/sources sought announcement is issued to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program is considering a purchase of a multiple transducer based pressure standard used as a standalone item or in conjunction with a computer to calibrate air data test sets, altimeters, air speed indicators, barometers and similar low pressure TMDE. The second generation air data calibrator (SGADC) has a Ps range of .3 to 32 in Hg. (minus 1500 to 100,000 feet), a Qc range of 0 to 74 in. Hg (0 to 1000 knots), and a Pt range of 0 to 110 in.Hg. The SGADC shall be capable of a 6 months reproducibility of .002 and .004 in. Hg for Ps and Pt respectively, when calibrated or compared against a dead weight tester. The SGADC shall be capable of generating/controlling pressures with a setability and stability adequate enough to calibrate a variety of state-of-the-art and older air data test sets. The SGADC shall also be capable of monitoring an externally controlled pressure. The estimated quantity is 29 units with options of an additional 49 units for a total of up to 78. Surplus or used material is not acceptable for this item.
