Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of fifty-one (51) Battery Housing, Teledyne part number 860535-1, NSN 5340-01-434-4521, and fifty-one (51) Battery cover, Teledyne part number 860513-1, NSN 6160-01-517-0277, from Teledyne Controls. Los Angeles. CA. Teledyne is the original manufacturer and only known source. The battery housing and cover are line replaceable units in the Runway Visual Range (RVR). The RVR uses a lead acid battery in the battery housing assembly 860535-1 to maintain system operation for up to a four (4) hour period when there is a facility power outage. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings. The contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. Responders to this market survey may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal.
