Description

To: All Recipients of Prospectus SEKI001 to operate two Pack Stations and a Riding Stable at Cedar Grove, Grant Grove, and Mineral King areas within Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The following questions were submitted regarding the Prospectus issued for a Concession Contract at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Question 1: On the cover letter what should go in the blank space? NPS Response: Please write the date the Federal Business Opportunity Notice was posted. The notice was posted on March 6, 2006; the following is a link to that notification: http://www.fbo.gov/spg/DOI/NPS/APC-IS/SEKI001/listing.html Question 2: On page 8, what are the operating conditions required by reference "similar to those in the Lehman Caves Visitor Center"? NPS Response: Please disregard the reference to "Lehman Caves Visitor Center," the special operating conditions which Subfactor 3(a) is referring to are "similar to those in the Cedar Grove, Grant Grove, and Mineral King areas." Additionally please replace the first sentence of item 2 under Subfactor 3(a) with the following: "State in detail your overall background and experience in operating commercial pack station and stable operations." This Subfactor should not reference "commercial food, beverage, and retail operations." Question 3: On page 21, do you really mean Great Basin National Park? NPS Response: On page 21, please replace Subfactor 1(a) with the following: "Describe how you will minimize the amount of human generated solid waste (e.g. garbage, trash) within Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park; please do not discuss stock manure here."
