Description

The Naval Air Depot, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the Upgrade of a SIP Hauser S50L Jig Grinding Machine. The upgrade will include (but is not limited to) upgrade of the electrical controls; replacement of the operator panel, DC motors, and linear scales; rebuild of the spindle/quill; and, integration of the existing Z-axis rapid stroke into the new control system. The applicable NAICS code is 811310 with a corresponding size standard of $6.0. The solicitation and all information relating to this requirement will be posted at FedBizOpps. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on or around 10 May 2006 with proposals due approximately four weeks thereafter. A site visit for this requirement is tentativly scheduled for 19 May 2006. Details regarding the site visit, including confirmation of the date for the visit, will be included with the solicitation.
