Description

The Social Security Administration?s (SSA?s), Main Complex has a requirement for a contractor to provide Automatic Door Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services at headquarters? buildings. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision parts and equipment necessary to maintain, provide preventive maintenance, repair, test and clean all automatic doors, their equipment and accessories in accordance with standard automatic door industry practice. The contractor shall maintain all automatic doors in a satisfactory and safe operating condition in accordance with the specifications. All equipment is located at SSA?s Headquarters Complex, 6401 Security Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21235, in the following buildings, Annex, Operations, Supply, Altmeyer, East High and Low, West High and Low and the National Computer Center (NCC) building. This is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290. The size standard for this NAICS code is $13 million. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for this effort. The period of performance will be for one year (12 months in duration) with seven (7) 12-month option periods, if exercised. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about May 15, 2006. The RFP will be issued under solicitation number SSA-RFP-06-1037. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
