- Description
- The University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking sources for a High Resolution Mass Spectrometer for the quantitative analysis of gas samples. The primary analysis will be the quantitative analysis of DT mixtures with a requirement to accurately measure total protium content to better than 50 ppm. The gas samples shall include all hydrogen isotopes (including tritium), helium isotopes, other noble gases, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and low molecular weight hydrocarbons. The system shall be able to identify and quantify the major species in gas mixtures as well as measure trace components (<0.01 ppm). The system shall include a multi-port gas inlet/calibration system capable of handling tritium, safety systems needed for handling tritium, a magnetic sector mass spectrometer with a resolution of at least 2500, and a computer system for control and data analysis. Interested contractors should submit their expression of interest via e-mail to Tom Bandy, at bandy1@llnl.gov.
