- Announcement of Intent to Award Sole Source Purchase Order This is a special notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice to include 6.302-1 Only one responsible source a nd no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purc hase Order. HQINSCOM plans to award to Hergo, Inc, 56-01 55th Avenue, Maspeth, NY 11378, a purchase to complete the previously procured associated with design and installation of ergonomic furniture and peripheral custom made components at its facility at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the below requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government to compete the propose d procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the HQINSCOM will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Hergo. The basic constructed elements are made of heavy-duty 11-gauge steel including the legs, uprights and all mounting brackets. We already have 410 of these identical units in INSCOM activities and additional work stations, of the same type, are required to maintain Configuration Management of INSCOM TIBS and TIGs world wide. The Hergo Ergonomics Support system being recommended for procurement, has been documented as a component part of the OL- 696(V)2 FSQ-209,Computer System Digital, work stations, line number ZOO735 , which is the supporting architect supporting , INSCOM s TIBS AND TIGS today.
